DVNF Helps Make 2011 NJ Stand Down Event Success
Disabled Veterans National Foundation delivered approximately $157,000 worth of supplies to support the recent Stand Down event held in Newark, New Jersey.
The DVNF contribution was delivered to the New Jersey Department of Veterans Affairs which helped organize the Stand Down event that helped hundreds of the areas homeless veterans.
This Disabled Veterans National Foundation delivery included items such as blankets, water, hygiene products, clothing, hats and even cough drops.
The Stand Down helps New Jersey homeless Veterans deal with life on the streets by providing a broad range of necessities such as food, clothing, medical support, job counseling – and fellow companionship.
